Newsletter December 2019
Ready to surf the wave in 2020

Christmas greetings! As the year draws to an end it is a great opportunity to reflect on the year that has been – although if you are like me you are probably more head down trying to reach all those pre-Christmas deadlines as the 25th fast approaches!
Council members have worked hard this year to make IMC a professional family providing support, networking and professional growth opportunities for members. In 2019 we have re-established our meeting base in Wellington at Victoria University’s Pipitea campus by the Railway Station – this a great place to catch up and a number of meaty topics have been discussed and debated.
We also have a brand new website which is linked behind the scenes to a membership database. This has enabled us to integrate our back office operations properly for the first time. It has been a very busy period and I am grateful to Council members and the volunteer contributions of others throughout the year.
As we wrap up a successful 2019 we have set ourselves up for a bumper year in 2020. We are ready to surf the wave of momentum we have built up! We have an agreement with MBIE to provide professional services training in February 2020 and we are just finalising some additional training opportunities. Our monthly events schedule is also shaping up nicely. In addition 2020 is IMC New Zealand’s 50th anniversary – so help us celebrate in style!

On behalf of IMC New Zealand, I wish you all the best for the Christmas season, summer holidays and the New Year. I hope you have the opportunity to spend time relaxing with family, friends and loved ones – and I hope the weather also plays its part! We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and helping you build your networks, develop your knowledge and grow your practices in 2020.
